Health Surveillance Assistant records a poem album

Mtsogoleri Ganamba, a Health Surveillance Assistant (Senior Diseases Control Officer) for Chipwaila Health centre in the earea of senior chief Ngabu in Chikwawa district has recorded his debut poem album to be released in December this year.

Speaking in an interview, Ganamba told Shire Valley Online that the ten tracks album which is titled Ndikulilira chikhalidwe chathu is centered on how people have of late despised their own culture.

“All poems were recorded at Chibvomerezi Studio by Moses Thole and Charles Nyakamera. I find this as a way of sharing my advice to all groups of people ranging from youths, men, elderly and those in families.“

In trying to tackle every life in our society, I have in this album recorded the following, Ndikulilira chikhalidwe chathu, Lili kuti kale, Nditanthauzireni maloto angawa, Misonzi yamphawi, ntchitoyi mugwire ndinu anamkungwi, kudzakucherani mulichoncho, Ntchezo pabwalo la amuna, Analipasula banja ndi manja awo, Wosachotsa moyo and mtumbira wamalemu sunatero,” he said.

According to Ganamba he is appealing to well–wishers to support his project so that the massages could reach everyone in the country.

One of the renowned broadcasters, Hassan Goba said he first new Ganamba in 1998 when he was producing the cultural program Fungulani makutu (open your ears) on MBC Radio when he used one poem called Jiko inakuterezuka.

Concurring with Goba was another radio personality from MIJ FM, Deitrich Fredrech who produce Chikhalidwe Program. He described Ganamba as one of the best poetry the country has ever had.”No no wander we feature him in our weekly program of Chikhalidwe here at MIJ FM radio,” he said.Caption: Ganamba I am looking for well–wishers.
